Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy is part of the University at Albany. Job Description:
The Department of Public Administration & Policy at the University at Albany's Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Public Management position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning fall 2018. Candidates must be strongly committed to excellence in scholarly research and should be effective teachers. Faculty in Rockefeller College are expected to pursue an active research program, teach and supervise undergraduate and graduate students, and engage in service activities.
We welcome applications from candidates engaged in high-quality public management research and who employ a variety of methodological approaches. Applicants must have a research agenda that demonstrates a substantial, on-going interest in government and the public sector. Candidates conducting research on public sector collaboration, contracting, organizational behavior and theory, performance management, or strategic management are especially encouraged to apply.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
•Applicants must have a PhD by September 1, 2018 from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
•Applicants must have a trajectory that suggests a tenurable research record is likely.
•Applicants must have the ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications:
•The successful candidate's PhD will likely be in public administration, public management, public affairs, or an allied field such as sociology or psychology.
•Experience obtaining or a willingness to pursue grants is also a plus.
