The Department of Urban Studies at Worcester State University seeks to fill a tenure-track, full-time, and benefited position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in the Fall Semester of 2020. We are particularly interested in scholars whose work engages one or more of the following areas: urban economics, urban planning, community-engaged planning, urban community development, sustainable urban development, urban education, and public health.

The ideal candidate will be an interdisciplinary scholar who is well-grounded in quantitative research methods. They will be expected to teach 4 undergraduate courses each semester, including an introductory urban studies course and a quantitative methods course.


A Ph.D. at the time of appointment is required. Applicants with diverse backgrounds, experiences, ability, and perspectives are encouraged to apply.
