The Urban Affairs Association (UAA) is seeking nominations for the Contribution to the Field of Urban Affairs Award to recognize individuals whose body of work has contributed to defining the field. The award will be presented to one or more individuals at the 2020 UAA Conference in Washington, DC.

We are seeking your assistance in publicizing the award and soliciting nominations. We are looking for nominees who have distinguished themselves in one or more of the following areas:

(1) scholarship in urban affairs that influences the thinking of academics and practitioners;
(2) impactful teaching and mentoring;
(3) distinguished professional service; or
(4) engagement outside the academy.

Award recipients receive a plaque, lifetime UAA membership, complimentary registration for all UAA conferences, and an invitation to the annual VIP Dinner. The award recipient will participate in a special session at the annual UAA conference to share her/his research, its findings and implications for practice and policy. Past recipients include Clarence Stone (2014), George Galster (2016), Susan Clarke (2017), Gregory Squires (2018), and John Hull Mollenkopf (2019).
