Kauffman-hosted virtual events in November and December:

Entrepreneurship Issue Forum

Join us Thursday, December 2 at 10 a.m. CT for the Entrepreneurship Issue Forum, “Findings from the NORC Entrepreneurship Researcher Climate Survey: Themes and Next Steps.”
This fall, we worked with scholars at NORC at the University of Chicago to survey researchers who study entrepreneurship about the professional climate within their field. In this forum, scholars from NORC will present the survey data. Following this presentation, members of the advisory board who aided in survey development will join in a roundtable discussion about findings from this survey, its themes, and the opportunities and barriers it highlights.

They will examine questions such as:

  • What surfaced in this data as a potential area of focus for entrepreneurship scholars and educators?
  • What narratives are we missing? What narratives were not captured in this survey data?
  • What can we do as a research community to support inclusion and diversity within the field of researchers who study entrepreneurship?

Participants will include:

  • Lauren Conte, NORC
  • Robert Fairlie, University of California, Santa Cruz
  • Kimberly A. Griffin, University of Maryland
  • Chhaya Kolavalli, Senior Program Officer
  • Josh Lerner, Harvard Business School
  • Maria Minniti, Syracuse University
  • James Neumeister, NORC
