This research faculty (non-tenure-track) position will focus on program and policy evaluation using primary data collection and qualitative methods. The position will be responsible for research responding to sponsor agencies’ scope of work to assess policies and programs for eviction diversion and defense in Oregon. This position is funded by state and local agencies seeking evaluation of existing policies and programs and concepts for new areas of support for renter stability.
This role may be appointed at the rank of Senior Research Assistant 2, which requires 2 or more years of progressively responsible research experience, or a Masters degree with experience. A candidate with more advanced research experience of 4 years or a Doctoral degree will be considered for the rank of Research Associate.
The candidate’s primary areas of knowledge should be in housing policy and/or law. Familiarity with research on eviction, eviction diversion and defense policies and programs; Oregon and its community context and community-based organizations; and with legal services programs are highly desirable.
