The Urban Affairs Association (UAA) respects your privacy. We will not share your personal information with any third party. We use your information to communicate with you, as well as to enhance your experience with the organization and the services that we provide.
Information Collection & Use
The UAA may collect information about you and your use of UAA services during the process of completing a UAA web-form, registering for one of our events, becoming a UAA member, participating in our annual conference, and while visiting our website. The personal information collected varies according to the nature of your specific engagement with the organization and provided services. Your information is used to facilitate communication, as well as to aid UAA staff in providing better service and support.
We may ask for information such as your name, affiliation, email, phone number, professional status, and other related information. The information that is collected from official UAA members include both descriptive and demographic data. We may also use images captured of our events’ participants for marketing purposes on our website and in other publications. Should you wish to have your image removed from our website, please contact UAA (info provided at the end of this document) and describe the location of your image.
UAA may track how you use and interact with particular services via cookies. This is done to analyze the use of and/or improve the services that we offer. In fact, some services (e.g. current UAA membership system) may not function as intended without the use and acceptance of cookies. We only use individual data to directly contact you or to deliver a service you have specifically requested (e.g., conference registration payment).
