Rice University’s Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning (CERCL), along with the Kinder Institute, invites applicants for the CERCL Scholar In Residence program. Scholars use special collections of the Houston Public Library and especially the African American Library at the Gregory School to conduct research on Houston’s African American history. The Scholar offices at the Gregory School in Houston’s historic Freedman’s Town in the Fourth Ward.
