Ph.D. in Urban Geography and Urban Planning (University of Michigan, 1983); M.A. and B.A. degrees from University of Texas-Arlington. Began faculty career at Indiana University, and served as tenured faculty member at Cornell, SUNY-Albany and University of Delaware. Recipient of Best Paper awards from UAA and American Planning Association. Member of UAA Governing Board, 1990-1996, 2003-2004. Chair of UAA Governing Board, 1994-1996.
