UAA Professional Development Coordinator Positions

  2. Early-career workshops coordinator
  3. Mid- & advanced-career coordinator

    • Three (3) sets of 2 complimentary nights of lodging at conference hotel (valued approximately $2400)

Expectations
  • Term of service: One year contract (renewable)
  • Weekly hourly commitment: on average, 5-10 hours per week
  • Coordinate and attend planned PD events [see activities for each coordinator position]
  • Schedule, attend and manage brainstorming with event facilitators/speakers
  • Schedule, attend and manage mock session with event facilitators/speakers
  • Recruit facilitators and speakers
  • Draft marketing content for UAA website
  • Develop application form items for activities that require applications
  • Review applications
  • Manage event evaluations
  • Attend planning meetings with the UAA Executive Office
  • Work with the UAA Executive Office to plan logistical support
  • Work with the UAA Executive Office to establish all relevant deadlines for professional development activities
  • Attend the annual UAA spring conference

UAA Executive Office Support
  • Internal oversight/support of all three coordinators
  • Schedule planning meeting
  • Schedule regular meetings
  • Schedule debriefing meetings
  • Market all professional development opportunities
  • Distribute and collect any required participant applications
  • Structure and implement annual participant evaluation surveys
