Due to a faculty retirement, the Sociology/Anthropology department at Pace University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach an introductory urban planning course, which will meet Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, 1:50-3:15pm, with semester start and end dates of Thursday, September 8th through Thursday, December 22nd.
The ideal candidate will be a practitioner who currently works as a planner, holds an MUP, and can engage our undergraduate students in contemporary debates regarding planning and development in cities. A global focus and commitment to anti-racist education and planning practice are also desirable. The course is an elective for our urban studies minor, and will have a maximum of 25 students enrolled.
Per Credit Rate is commensurate with experience, degree held and previous teaching experience.
