REGISTRATION RATES

REGISTRATION INCLUDES: access to all concurrent sessions, plenary sessions, awards program, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday refreshment breaks, audio-visual (LCD projector and screen in meeting space), Wi-Fi access (suitable for email & conference app), name badge, mobile app, and discounted hotel rates. REGISTRATION DOES NOT INCLUDE: access to networking receptions (ticket purchase required).

These rates apply to 2027 members of the Urban Affairs Association (UAA) and its Organizational Partners (APNHR, ENHR, EURA, ISA, and RSA). *Due to local, county and state liquor laws, and liability insurance restrictions, children under the legal age for alcohol consumption are not allowed to attend receptions.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT POLICIES

February 1, 2027 – Refund deadline ( Administrative fee: $250 for non-students; $150 for students)
February 1, 2027 – Last day to request a refund for reception ticket purchases (Administrative fee: 30% of ticket price)
March 15, 2027 – Last day to purchase reception tickets (subject to availability)

Membership in UAA/APNHR/ENHR/EURA/ISA is not required to register for and attend the conference. However, members do receive a registration discount.

• Local practitioners who participate as program presenters are eligible for a registration waiver. Use the Local Practitioner Waiver Request Form to request a waiver.
• Accepted forms of payment – only online credit card payments will be accepted. Checks are no longer accepted.
• Registration & Ticket Refund Policy – Due to financial commitments (e.g., guarantees of a certain number of attendees, transportation contractual arrangements) that UAA must make in the weeks leading up to the conference, your fees are expended regardless of whether you attend or not. This is why we cannot refund your fees after a certain date.

WITHDRAWAL & REFUND POLICIES

Withdrawals

• Withdraw from conference (PRESENTERS & NON-PRESENTERS): Not able to attend the conference? Please formally withdraw via the Withdrawal / Refund Request Form.
• Change presenter (request a program change): 
  1. Verify that your co-author is not already scheduled to present in another session AND has paid the appropriate registration fee AND
  2. Contact us and provide presentation title and name of non-presenting, registered co-author
• Cancel hotel reservation: Follow instructions in your hotel confirmation email on how to cancel your reservation.

Refund Deadlines & Policies

•   February 1, 2027 = Last day to request a refund for registration  (Administrative fee: $250 for non-students; $150 for students)
  • No registration refunds will be granted after February 1, 2027, EXCEPT in the case of late denials of funding applications, or late denial of travel visa applications. Documentation is required to establish your denial status.
•   February 1, 2027 = Last day to request a refund for reception ticket purchases (minus 30% administrative processing fee)
  • No ticket refunds will be granted after February 1, 2027.
• Refund Application: If your name is listed on the conference program, you must first withdraw from the conference before submitting a refund application. Request a refund. Allow 7-10 business days for processing.

PHOTOGRAPHY + COMMUNICATION POLICY

Photographs and video may be taken during the conference and may be used in UAA communications, including the UAA website, social media, newsletters, and future conference promotional materials. By attending the conference, participants acknowledge that they may appear in conference-related photographs or recordings.

UAA will also contact registered participants by email with conference-related news, updates, reminders, and other important information.
