The Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional & Community Planning (LARCP) in the College of Architecture, Planning & Design (APDesign) at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS is seeking qualified candidates to teach courses in the department related to real estate and community development as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will:
– deliver creative and effective teaching in courses related to real estate and community development.
– engage in significant, peer-reviewed research, scholarship, and/or creative activities.
– supervise independent graduate research.
– participate in department governance.
– participate in university and professional service.
– contribute to an environment that fosters diversity and collegiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
– Ph.D. in Planning or a closely allied field or ABD.
– Candidate must demonstrate evidence of inspired teaching.
– Candidate must demonstrate evidence of or potential for scholarly productivity.
– Candidate must demonstrate focus related to real estate and community development or urban economics.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Degree in Planning.
– Ability to work with a wide range of student interests and academic levels.
– Ability to help students develop career-ready professional skills.
– Relevant professional experience.
– Someone who can teach one or more of the following:
* Asset Based Community Development
* Real Estate or Urban Economics
* Land Development
* Infrastructure Planning
* Other related subjects
Other Requirement: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
