Housing Studies invites submissions by February 1, 2026, for a workshop and special issue on the relationships between demographic dynamics and housing. The Special Issue will be edited by Arthur Acolin, Desen Lin, Kwan Ok Lee, and Susan Wachter and the workshop will be held on May 25, 2026 at Seoul National University and hosted by Hyojung Lee and Chamna Yoon with a keynote from Dowell Myers.
This call for papers is seeking contributions that examine the impact of demographic changes on housing markets as well as the impact of housing markets on demographic choices. We welcome theoretical, qualitative, and quantitative studies that make conceptual or empirical contributions. Preference will be given to completed drafts, but extended abstracts will be considered. Submission from graduate students and junior scholars are particularly welcome.
