EVENT DESCRIPTION
This session is for advanced graduate students and recent graduates preparing to teach at the college level. It will focus on course design aligned with learning outcomes, effective methods for assessing student learning, and high-impact teaching practices. Through interactive discussion, participants will also explore strategies for addressing common challenges in course design and the higher education classroom.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for Teaching 101, you must be one of the following:
Advanced Graduate Student
Dissertator (actively working on your dissertation)
Post-Doctoral – (PhD granted 2023-present)
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To participate in Teaching 101, you must complete the online application by November 6, 2026. Your application will be reviewed by the UAA Executive Office, and you will receive a review decision by November 9, 2026 via email.
