Department Summary

The School of Planning, Public Policy and Management trains policy-oriented planners and managers for public, nonprofit, and private leadership positions. Our program is applied, collaborative, and interdisciplinary. Our Master of Community and Regional Planning, Master of Nonprofit Management, and Master of Public Administration degrees programs are professionally accredited. The School has awarded degrees since 1968. Oregon’s progressive planning and policy environment, combined with the award-winning applied projects, offers students an innovative learning environment. Our two-year degree programs enroll approximately 50-60 students each year, and our graduates are consistently successful in finding professional positions after graduation. The School of PPPM also offers a graduate certificate in nonprofit management, an undergraduate minor in nonprofit management, an undergraduate major and minor in PPPM, and a PhD in planning and public affairs. We have a strong tenure-track placement rate for prior visiting professors in PPPM.
